1. Âm và chữ C c - Sound & letter C c

♦ Phát âm c [k] – Pronouncing c [k]

C is a voiceless consonant; Pronunciation is like the English /k/ sound, but it is released strongly by raising the back of the tongue, touching the soft palate, and lowering it when the strong air blows out and does not affect the vocal cords. Example: key, cap, cut.

♦ Chính tả - Spelling

C can be the initial or final consonants. As the initial consonant, it can be combined with nuclear vowels except i, e, ê, iê. The syllables with the stop final consonants c have only two tones - either: "sắc" the high-rising or "nặng" the low-falling broken.

khô, tổ, phố. The initial consonant k [k] pronounced like c [k]. Example: kỉ, kiến.

♦ Phát âm Q [q] - Pronouncing Q [q]

Q is initial consonant /k/ to pronunce similar to the consonant c, k /k/ but is softened by the u sound that comes after it. In the Southern dialect, the syllables qua, quy… are pronounced as /wa/, /wi/.

4. Âm và chữ KH kh - Sound & letter KH kh

♦ Phát âm kh [ꭕ] - Pronouncing kh [ꭕ]

Kh is a velar voiceless fricative consonant. [ꭕ] is created by narrowing the passage between the back of the tongue and the roof of the mouth, for instance: kho, khi, khu.

Unlike the consonant K, KH is the initial consonant that can combine with all nuclear vowels and the labialization u/o.
